Recipe: cauliflower stew

Summary: tasty vegeterian stew

Ingredients

  • 2 heads cauliflower, cleaned and cut in small florets
  • 2 onions sliced thin
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cilantro, cleaned and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sumac
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • oil for frying the cauliflower
  • 1/3 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Fry the cauliflower in oil until browned. Saute the onions in the 1/3 cup oil until browned. Add the garlic and the cilantro and cook for 2 minutes. Add the cooked cauliflower to the onions and garlic. Add the salt, pepper, sumac and lemon juice. Cook for 15 minutes. And serve over rice.
