Recipe: White cheese: The best and the easiest homemade cheese.
Summary: This recipe is vey easy to make. Once you make it you won’t buy whithe cheese anumore.
- 1 gallon milk
- 2 rennet tablets
- Melt the rennet in 3 tablespoons of milk. Stir in milk. Place on low heat and keep stirring until the milk curdles. Pour the milk in a cheesecloth bag and press with weight and let it drain overnight. Cut in big pieces and place in a jar fill with water and coarse salt. Store in the fridge. Makes about 1 pound of cheese. Reserve the liquid for making cottage cheese.
