Lentil Soup: Tasty, delicious and healthy

This is a variation of another lentil soup, very tasty and healthy.
Ingredients
- 1 cup lentil
- 1/4 cup rice
- 6 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 onion chopped
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 loaf pita bread cut in small pieces and fried
Instructions
- Wash the lentils and the rice, and cook with water for about 1½ hours.
- Transfer the mix into a food processor. Add 1cup water.
- Mix till you get a smooth soup.
- Pour back the soup in a pot, and add the salt, pepper and cumin.
- Brown the onions in the oil, and add to the soup.
- Cook for 10 minutes.
- garnish with little chopped parsley
- Serve with pita bread.
