Recipe: Cheese pies Puffs
Summary: This recipe makes 44 pieces. Prepare in advance and bake 30 minutes before serving. Makes a great side dish at a family meal and it also makes a perfect appetizer for parties
Ingredients
- 1 pound feta cheese
- 1 pound ricotta cheese
- 1 package cream cheese
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1 cup butter, melted
Instructions
Combine all the cheeses, eggs, salt and pepper until smooth. Stack 2 sheets of the dough and cut off 4 strips 2×16 inches long. Brush with butter and place 1 teaspoon of filling on one end of strip and fold one corner to opposite side to form a flag shaped triangle. Arrange on an ungreased pan and bake at 350 degrees oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm or room temperature.
