Recipe: Chunky avocado dip

Summary: This chunky dip is good also as a side dish with chicken or steak barbecued.


  • 2 ripe avocados, pitted and peeled
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup cole slaw dressing
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper


  1. Mash the avocados with fork. Add the garlic. Fold the tomatoes, olive oil and the dressing. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with tortilla chips or toasted pita bread.
