CRACKED WHEAT WITH TOMATOES

Recipe: CRACKED WHEAT WITH TOMATOES
Summary: serve it with yogurt and pita bread.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cracked wheat coarse 3 ripe tomatoes, chopped finely 2 large onions, chopped finely 4 cups water 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a saucepan, cook the onions with oil until golden brown. Add the cracked wheat and sauté for 2 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cover and simmer over low heat for 25 minutes or until the wheat are cooked. You can use 4 tablespoons of tomato paste instead of tomatoes.
