Recipe: Sharab el-wared: sweet, refreshing and delicious.
Summary: It is called also ”rose water syrup”. Popular in the middle east, served in any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- ½ cup rose water
- 1 ½ cups water
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- few drops of red food coloring
Instructions
- Dissolve sugar in water and bring to a boil. Add the lemon juice and skim foam as it appears on the surface. Add the rose water and boil for 5 minutes. Bring to room temperature and pour into bottles and sael when syrup is cold. When serving, use 1 tablespoon of syrup per glass of ice water store the bottles in the fridge.
