Recipe: Pancakes with pomegranate seeds and syrup
Summary: This recipe is the brain child of one of my husband’s colleagues Negovan. This is a delicious and healthy way to start your morning. It is so tasty and specially healthy because pomegranate is a powerful antioxidant and tangy delicious.
Ingredients
- your favorite pancakes recipe
- 1 pomegranate
- Syrup:
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
Instructions
- Peel the pomegranate and remove the seeds.
- Add 1/2 cup pomegranate to the batter to make 8 large pancakes.
- For the syrup: Mix the maple syrup and pomegranate juice over low heat for 5 minutes or until heated through
- Serve the pancakes with maple pomegranate syrup.
