Servings: 8 Servings


  • 1 1/2 lb Ground meat (lamb, turkey,
  • 2 c Rice
  • 1 c Slivered almonds
  • 2 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Pepper
  • 1/2 ts Allspice
  • 1/2 ts Cinnamon
  • 1/2 ts Nutmeg
  • 3 1/2 c Water or broth
  • 1/4 c Butter


 Serving Ideas : This can be used as a chicken stuffing, or served on the side NOTES : Brown meat in butter. Add rice and spices…stir for 2 minutes. Add the liquid, bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Stir in the almonds, and stuff it or serve it on the side. Vegans will get much of the same flavor if you eliminate the meat, and use a vegetable broth.
